Talent Vs Genius: Achieving What Others Cannot Even Imagine

There’s a lot of talented people in the world, and seemingly fewer geniuses. Many great thinkers have commented on what sets the few (the genius), apart from the many (the talented).
Everyone is born with a special gift, whether it be physical, mental, or spiritual. Speaking, reading, writing, music, art, business, community, science, medicine, politics, etc.
To bring something truly creative, and original out into the world — something intelligently designed, outside the status quo, visionary — takes concentration of a different order.
This article was sparked by an article on The Marginalian about Schopenhauer in regards to talent vs genius — how talent is born of the age, and needs of the times, finding it’s place immediately with contemporaries.
While genius sees something further out, beyond the apprehension of their contemporaries — often putting their views far out into the future, and letting time catch everyone up.
What sets you apart from your genius, may not be apart of the status quo, or some lofty intellectual ideal; but, a quiet place to sit where you won’t be disturbed so you can practice meditation.
