What is NEKO?
As dogs rise, led by their “Inu” leader, the cats are left to wander; aimless and with no fearless feline to pave the way. Until… NEKO.
Cat lovers rejoice, no longer will cats be stuck in second place to the canines. NEKO will lead the charge as the first substantial and considerable feline challenger to the “dogs only” club.
“Neko” means “cat” in Japanese, and is the feline answer to the all prevalent and listless “Inus” which of course means dog. Rather than limit NEKO to a singular breed by the naming conventions of the canines, we wanted the name to be in line with our vision for the future of this coin and the “cat world” as a whole, simply: NEKO. There are no exclusions in NEKO, it is for ALL cats and cat lovers.
Tokenomics
To maintain this practice of accessibility for all, NEKO was launched with only a minute 1% transaction fee which will entirely be funded to marketing and rewarding holders. NEKO will always be freely approachable, without concern of losing funds to all too common unfair tax practices that only benefit less than honorable developers, some who steal 15% or more of your value on every transaction! Our NEKO is for everyone, it is for all of the cats. NEKO will raise not only itself, but also create a paved way for more cats to follow.
NEKO’s Future Framework and Roadmap
NEKO has its sight set on many exciting future goals that will establish it as a large long-term competitor for the dogs, and a leader for the cats. Firstly, NEKOswap! This will be an intuitive decentralized exchange with a feature system for what else… cats! NEKO will give cat-based projects a spotlight in hopes to grow the cat lovers projects. The projects to be featured will be chosen by the community using a governance system within the NEKOverse! Vote on your favorite new cat project using your NEKO, and that project may get a front page feature. This governance feature will be used to grow and strengthen our community NEKOverse by establishing a DAO where everyone has a say in what directions they want to go, and implementations they want to see.
That’s not all, in order to continually increase NEKO’s value and expand the project, NEKO also plans to roll out a staking system by which users can multiply their value. The tokens that will fill the staking rewards pool will be acquired through “buybacks” using the 1% transaction fee. Value increases from buys, and more rewards enter the pool, it’s a win-win for the whole community!
Lastly, if anyone isn’t as interested in the technical side and just wants to appreciate their favorite felines, we have something for everyone with our very own NEKO NFTs. Some of these NFTs even being contributed by the creative community. These will be purchasable using the NEKO token. These tokens used for purchase could be burned forever, or reenter circulation by contributing to the staking rewards pool. This decision and many like it will be made by the community!
