Overview of Epoch 1
The Nektar Network presents the next phase of the Pollination Campaign with the launch of Epoch 1, set to begin on May 1, 2024, and scheduled to end on June 1, 2024. Note that the program will end earlier, in case Nektar reaches a total value locked (TVL) of 250,000 ETH.
This period marks a significant step forward in rewarding community engagement and loyalty within the ecosystem. Users now have the opportunity to earn Nektar Drops daily by participating in various activities across the Nektar Network.
Earning Nektar Drops in Epoch 1
Activities That Earn Drops
Starting May 1, users can begin accruing new Nektar Drop rewards, although it may take up to 24 hours for these points to appear on the Nektar Drops dashboard.
The actions eligible for rewards include continued deposits in pre-launch initiatives such as Enzyme vaults, Reserve bsdETH initiatives, and Sommelier vaults, as detailed in the table below and in the pre-launch initiatives overview.
As a reward baseline, depositing ETH in any of these mainnet pre-launch initiatives earns participants 25 Nektar Drops per ETH per day. Additionally, for each follow for Nektar on X, earn 1500 points!
Fyde.fi Initiative (New!)
With the introduction of Epoch 1, we welcome another external partner into the Nektar Network ecosystem: Fyde. Fyde is an AI driven portfolio management and liquidity optimizer. Their Liquid Vault (TRSY) now accepts ETH deposits that will be eligible for both Nektar Drops and Fyde points, when staked using Nektar’s referral code. All ETH deposited in this way, will be converted into Nektar’s LST (divETH) after the mainnet launch of divETH.
Depositors will earn 25 Nektar Drops daily for each ETH deposited, similar to other mainnet initiatives. Yet, due to the technical complexity involved, the Nektar Drops earned through Fyde will be distributed and shown on the Dashboard only at the end of Epoch 1 rather than daily. Upcoming Features and Adjustments
Referral Rewards
Referral rewards are expected to be introduced within the first few weeks of Epoch 1. The integration of referral rewards is currently in progress, with some technical adjustments being made in collaboration with the Fuul.xyz team.
Adjustments in retroactive Nektar Drops Allocations
Based on community feedback, there have been significant adjustments in the retroactive Nektar Drops allocations:
- Testnet operators on Goerli and Holesky testnets have seen a substantial increase in points — over 50x the initial allocation.
- For all other categories, the total amount of Nektar Drops has been increased 10x.
This adjustment aims to better reward the early supporters and active participants of the Nektar ecosystem.
