Now let me paint a picture for you. Imagine all you want to do, is listen to your favourite radio show. Instead of closing the door of your living room and focussing on what the voice is saying, you carry your radio with you everywhere. You go to all kinds of different noisy places with your friends. Because you don’t want to be alone. You’re scared of missing out on what they are doing. You might go to bars, where the music is playing far too loud to hear anything. At parties you stand in the crowd, dancing, instead of looking for a quiet space. You just never slow down.

Ultimately when you stop moving, you’re overwhelmed and ask yourself what this voice is you’re hearing. Maybe you’re at war with it and question everything it says. You don’t understand why it makes you angry listening to it. My dear friend — maybe you’re not listening, because it’s too painful to admit that the voice is right. Deep down you know that relationship is hurting you far more, than serving you. You know that the job you’re working in doesn’t make you happy. You feel every single day that something’s not right, more so completely off. Now, only if you’re very lucky, you realise by chance that this is you talking to you.
