I think that you are very naive when you advise us not to look at a person as what they are. I see people. I notice differences. If we were born into a different world maybe. It should not matter what we look like, rather than train ourselves to be blind. Differences are what makes a rainbow beautiful. That being said, the world we live in is no where near your dream place. Some people thought we were on the way, but then Obama became president. Despite what a lot of people think, he did not start a race war but the election of a person of his and his family’s skin colors, brought the true hearts of people to their lips. We watch police brutally attack and kill my people of color. Who do we look at to trust? Are you trying to tell us not to be aware. It is not entirely accurate that we are basing a single person’s personality on the doings of their collective ancestors. But when we do try to put that aside, we are rudley awakened. The Tea Party and now Donald Trump’s rhetoric and the people who follow him, have shown us that the hate for us have never left their hearts. How are we to know which ones? Look at the Tuskegee Experiment and others. Are you aware that this is one of the reasons Black people do not trust doctors or even the government? Since you are not Black nor White, how do you contend to know the Slavery Mentality that has been passed down on both people? We cannot forget History are we are doomed to repeat it. We tried it for a while. The 80s and 90s mistakenly had us believing that the US would finally treat us as equals. Now, the kids that were produced in that era laugh at the parents for not better preparing them for the return of the 60 Civil War atmosphere. Eyes are now opened to see that nothing has changed. The disdain was hidden behind political correctness. The KKK traded in their white sheets for Blue uniforms. But because White people, and you, do not live this on a daily basis, you maintain it doesn’t exist or we should just get over it. The now try to remove slavery of Jim Crow issues from history book so it can be forgotten but still held dear in hearts. They keep us divided here and in Africa. Or do you not know that the powers here & other European nations make sure that those corrupt leaders maintain power there in hopes that we will invite them in to Africa to rule it just like this land. The US will not even apologize for slavery, but provides monetary reparations the Jews and Asians that were place into camps. But not us. What would that tell you? We do not need to keep hitting our head against that brick wall. We know it will not yield. But we do keep a softer approach and maybe those drops of water will wear a hole in it. In the meantime, take a African American History class and an African History class. Maybe you will understand why the cycle continues.
No, I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous.
