First, being ignorant of a phenomenon has nothing to do with color or privilege. I’m a half white-half Japanese 57 year old female and the Bernie Bro thing is new. It has finally coalesced into a meme so not knowing about it got nothing to do with color or white privilege. The racists can bite me just cuz I have light skin.

As for the Bernie Bro thing, just like Occupy had infiltrators, so to the ranks of Berners online have provocateurs to foment hatred against Bernie by their behavior toward Hillary. Not saying some of them aren’t sincere in this, but rather, the huge majority of Bernie supports are good, sincere, and humane people. So, anyone not upholding our shared principles of decency and our common goal of creating a better America for not only our own citizens but of people everywhere should evoke skepticism about the nature of their behavior.
