One of the most overused statements I make begins with, “It’s just so hard because…”. Like, “It’s just so hard because I’m tired.” Or “It’s just so hard because I have kids.” Or even “It’s just so hard because of my work schedule.”

The problem really isn’t that I’m tired or have kids or how different my work schedule is. The problem is all in my mind. I make excuses for myself to help justify why I failed to take…
