I heard of this incident, back when it happened. But I had not read the details. I must say, as a long-time user of GoDaddy hosting services, I find the details of the case to be more than disturbing.

I would like the think, in slightly more than 2 years since, this egregious act of digital theft and misconduct, both GoDaddy and PayPal; and by extension — ALL — hosting and social media providers; have tightened their - what were very lax - conduct and procedures.

It takes a long time to develop a seriously successful online presence. It is such a sad state to encounter people who have no scruples, ethics or moral values compatible with normal social morays. Such characters have plagued society in the analog world since the dawn of human history. Today, in the shadow of the late 20th and into the 21st centuries, there are many of much the same dark ilk in the digital world. Only today, they are much younger, smarter, faster and more devious. Brought up to believe they make the rules - they abide by only what pleases them. Thus to think they will play by rules you or I observe, is blind, naive and downright stupid.

They do not and will not play cricket. They play dirty and by their own set of morphing code.

The RULE here would be, ‘User beware and protect thyself’. As if we needed another area in which to put up security walls. This sucks.
