The team at Network for Good is kicking off a “mini podcast” about the organization’s strategic vision and the role we think Network for Good can play in shaping the future of the social sector. I’m Maddie Vann and I lead strategy for Network for Good Donor Advised Fund. My goal for this mini-podcast, in collaboration with Network for Good’s CEO, Abby Ross, is to keep our board, advisors, and supporters in the loop about the things we’re learning from our ongoing research and conversations with potential partners. These recordings will offer an inside look at some of the questions we’re wrestling with or the ideas that are brewing as we continue to shape the future of Network for Good.

We’ll cover topics like:

  • What it means for capital to be durable
  • What kinds of experiments we’re thinking about running
  • What it means for a community to align around outcomes

You can expect these episodes to be about 20 minutes, delivered to our advisors’ inbox each month with Abby’s monthly update and available on podcast streaming services. It’s a basic Q&A podcast format where I’ll pose questions to Abby about an overarching topic to summarize some key themes and takeaways that are informing our future plan. The episodes will follow our journey of learning, planning, and iterating at Network for Good. We’re not doing this for a public audience but you can certainly share any of the episodes with people who might find the topics interesting. And, as always, we invite feedback, ideas, disagreement, and discussion along the way.
