Farahdeeba Khan popular by the name Farah Khan was born on 9 January 1965 in Bombay, Maharashtra to Kamran Khan and Menaka Irani. At the young age of 11, Farah saw her parents separated due to financial problems. All these didn’t deter young Farah from fueling her dreams and turning them into reality.

She completed her school at St. Teresa’s Convent School, Mumbai. She attended St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai but was sacked due to low attendance. She earned her graduation in BA in a correspondence course.

Farah had a deep passion towards dance from a young age. She was so inspired by one of the videos of Michael Jackson that it left an unforgettable mark on her. She learned numerous dance forms without undergoing any formal training which is a testament to her connection with dance and dedication to learning new skills.

Farah choreographed her first song “Pehla Nasha” for the film “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” released in 1992. The success of this project opened numerous opportunities for her and she grabbed them with both hands to become the most demanded choreographer in the Indian film industry.
