She completed her schooling at St. Anthony Girls’ High School. From a young age, Vidhya was inclined towards acting and aspired to be an actor. She was inspired by actors like Madhuri Dixit and Shabana Azmi.

Her aspiration to be an actress soon turned into reality when at the age of 16, she got the opportunity to work in Ekta Kapoor’s serial Hum Panch where she portrayed the character of Radhika.

She made several attempts to get a chance in the film industry while earning her graduation in sociology from Mumbai University. She appeared in numerous music videos and television commercials.
