Neurodata Lab API Tools

Face Detector and Sex and Age Detector are capable of detecting faces in video feed and pictures. The technology captures faces in any position and light conditions and returns bounding boxes.

Use cases: These two tools can be jointly (as well as separately) used in retail industry and bring deep insights into who your customers are, thus enabling you to offer them personalized services.

Person Detector is capable of detecting human bodies in standing positions using information drawn from video feed or pictures. After the analysis of a picture or a video frame, it returns bounding boxes.

Use cases: This frame can be applied in security industry and used in cases of traffic-management, such as optimisation of airport queues.

Heart Rate Detector measures heart rate in video feed. The algorithm detects changes in complexion invisible to human eye; moreover, it works with low-quality videos such as those recorded by a web camera. You can read more about how it works and how accurate it is in our article.

Use cases: This tool can be applied in telemedicine, especially considering the quick growth of this industry in regions where elderly patients live far from medical and mental health specialists. The tool can be integrated with other tools we are working on, such as Stress Index, thus helping doctors to provide better quality of medical service. It can be also used in hospitals to monitor challenges in situations where contact measurements are impossible or inconvenient. This may refer, for instance, to monitoring of infants in
perinatal centers, or patients with hypersensitive skin.

Body Pose Estimator is capable of estimating the body position by locating 18 connected joints in video feed and pictures.

Use case: This tool can be applied in Augmented Reality and IoT industries: for instance, it can let people activate household appliances or open doors with just their gestures. Moreover, this tool can be of use to sports tech startups: they can play with the algorithm to get more info about their athletes’ performance.

Emotion Recognition is our basic algorithm that tracks human emotions by extracting them solely from facial features. This algorithm aims to be one of the finest in the world according to the latest international research, and enables market researchers and psychologists to accurately track human emotions.

Multimodal Emotion recognition goes deeper than basic Emotion Recognition algorithm. In not only tracks facial features to understand human emotions, but also integrates emotions expressed when speaking and even making gestures with head or hands. This tool aims to make AI-powered emotion recognition closer to real world conditions.

Use cases: The frame works perfectly with 5–15 sec. videos and requires high-capacity infrastructure, so best use case for it is neuroscientific research.

Satisfaction Index measurement tool is based on Neurodata Lab’s single-frame emotion recognition technology and assesses customers’ satisfaction by analyzing the video feed.

Use cases: The perfect use case for it would be in retail spots or hotel lobby front desks — to help calculate a customer satisfaction index for each customer, as well as generate statistics and compare with other stores, branches and entire sales networks. With this tool, you can build data-driven customer experience (CX-management).

We believe that Neurodata Lab’s API platform will provide fast-growing industries such as customer analytics, smart mobility (automotive), and robotics with simple tools to achieve exceeding results in their businesses and projects. For instance, the algorithms could be used to improve drivers’ experience or to experiment with building natural human-robot interaction (HRI). Moreover, they can be applied for improvement of personalized solutions in digital-out-of-home (DOOH).
