I would say LeBron is clearly above the others. I agree that there is only a top four made up of those four players (when healthy, Durant has mostly been #2 for several years). I think Steph is still the hardest to quantify. He’s like bizarro-peak-Shaq in the way effects court spacing and opponent game planning. But whereas Shaq’s gravitational pull was always predictably on the left block, Steph is like a tiny neutron star zipping around the court warping space-time and defenses and threatening to go supernova at any moment. NOTE: I understand that in real life neutron stars are an end result of supernovas and therefore my metaphor isn’t scientifically accurate but I refuse to change it because it’s illustrative of my unsolicited point.
