Ooo pick me, I want to be heard.
I think it’s important to distinguish between factual conclusions and your hypothesis. My guess is at the end of your research, you still have no idea what people want — even people that think they know what they want may not actually know what they want (the struggle of cognition).
Therefore, unless you’re using science to explain or arrive at conclusions (perhaps brain/biological studies and more investigative research), the distinction between what is belief and actuality should be made.
