The Journey
Bishop Jakes, I would like to reintroduce myself again, my name is Nevin Brown and I would like to give you and your staff a heartfelt “Thank You.” I want to begin from the notes and studies from your teachings. On June 3, 2014 you preached on the topic, “Power to Persevere” that was said “Patience comes from perseverance, God driven, not listing to critics.” A very powerful statement because I’m learning better to trust my instincts and even the more in hearing God. Then there was “Run After Your Destiny” on Sunday 7/21/14, this was the inclination for me to be like Nike and “Just Do It!” I started to noticed a pattern of the blueprint that God gave you to some degree, at least in my opinion, or I believe it’s just for me. Writing this paper I can see how God has used you to speak into my life, dad. Having to fight for territory and continue to fight is a battle I must endure to the end. I then became applicable by watering the seed, to know and understand to be planted is destiny concealed, to have increase is destiny revealed! Water is the last step of increase, I can start to see a little increase in my life spiritually, physically, mentally, and financially. It was December 31, 2014 the word of the Lord came forth through you “Not A New Year, But A New Normal.” The gravitational pull must break, it can only be done by me hanging my mind in what and how I think. This is where my message wraps up on “Destiny Steps” removing the barriers to destiny starts with (SUT) systems under test. With Destiny steps applied consist of Focus, distinctively similar and still be me at the same time. It is important to have the right types of mindsets to accompany my thinking, destiny flocks together. I was in the United States Marine Corp, it was always embedded in us to be fit for the fight, the enemy is always looking for weakness! Happy to say this is journey I’m in with the expediencies, winding roads, hills to climb, getting low in the trenches God built me for it.
Thanks,
Nevin Brown.
