Hold up Philip, did you already forget the original story that led to my comment? The story where author Justin Charity decided to lambaste CNN anchor Don Lemon, while noting that in 2017 he has shown signs of becoming a “new” Don Lemon?
That’s what led to my comment about liberals judging other liberals and using Bill Maher’s quote that “it is easier to judge a friend than engage an enemy.” I find it fascinating that liberals who watched Don Lemon report fake news throughout 2016 also formed the opinion that he was a total buffoon and a giant joke on journalism, because moderates and conservatives formed the exact same opinion. There’s one thing we can all agree on (regardless of your political affiliation), and that is Don Lemon is a total clown.
It just shows that Bill Maher was totally correct, and liberals like Justin Charity would rather criticize their like-minded colleagues and pick at their faults instead of actually coming up with an original viewpoint.
Here’s the problem I have with people who are continuously protesting against Trump: no matter what Trump says or does, it is going to be blown out of proportion and turned into a hissy fit protest by the left. I don’t think your protests are having any impact at all, except to drive more people over to the conservative side and help to ensure that Trump will be in charge until January 2025.
For example, you are protesting at airports to allow all Refugees to enter the USA, but then you also have a huge protest in D.C. for women’s rights. Well, most of the refugees are coming from cultures with very bad track records when it comes to women’s rights. If you truly care about the future of women’s rights and gay rights in the USA, then why are you at the airport protesting Trump’s executive order to have more thorough vetting of these refugees who want to come to our nation?
Are you going to hold a protest for every single decision made by Trump, without even thinking about the logic behind the move? Seems like all someone needs to do is create a clever meme with Trump on one side and Hitler on the other, and people who get all their information from social media will take the bait and scream “facism! KKK!” without considering that Trump is trying to prevent people with hateful ideologies from entering the country. Many people who were born and raised in Muslim-majority nations think that women shouldn’t be allowed to drive and that gay people should receive the death sentence. Do you understand that Trump is actually trying to make the United States *safer* for women and gays by signing this order? He did not sign this order to discriminate against people from other countries and cultures, HE SIGNED IT TO PROTECT AMERICANS LIKE YOU.
Your protests lose their impact when they happen every single week and are triggered by any perceived slight from Trump. The Left is mostly comprised of hypocritical, close-minded buffoons who will protest at the airport to let all Muslims into the country, but won’t ask those same Muslims how they personally feel about gay rights, women and Sharia law.
Go back and read the original article where ultra-liberal Justin Charity decides to criticize ultra-liberal Don Lemon for being a joke of a journalist, and you’ll understand why I wrote my original comments. Liberals like Justin Charity would rather attack, criticize and drag down their peers, because it’s much easier to judge a friend than engage the enemy.
