About Chainlink

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that enables smart contracts to securely access off-chain data feeds, web APIs, and traditional bank payments. Chainlink is consistently selected as one of the top blockchain technologies by leading independent research firms such as Gartner. It is well known for providing highly secure and reliable oracles to large enterprises (Google, Oracle and SWIFT) and leading smart contract development teams. Learn more by visiting the Chainlink website, Twitter or Telegram. If you’re a developer, visit the developer documentation or join the technical discussion on Discord.

Newroad & Chainlink

Why Chainlink

After we came into contact with Chainlink, understood what it is and their objectives, its vast potential became clear to us. The importance of being able to offer data from outside the blockchain through a decentralized structure is an enticing value proposition that ultimately lead us to join the project.

How

The Chainlink ecosystem consists of multiple roles. We at Newroad will focus initially on operating a Chainlink node. Running a Chainlink node will enable us to provide a service that allows external non-blockchain data to be directly available for smart contracts. The importance here is to provide stable infrastructure by being one of the many node operators that keep the oracle service decentralized so it doesn’t rely on a single entity.
