After graduating from college, John Aniston joined the United States Navy. Born Yannis Anastassakis on July 24, 1933, and passing away on November 11, 2022, John Anthony Aniston was a Greek-born American actor.

He is best known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on the NBC daytime drama series Days of Our Lives, a role he created in July 1985 and maintained until his death.

In 2017, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work in the role, and in 2022, he was awarded the Daytime Emmy for Lifetime Achievement. Jennifer Aniston’s father was he.

John made his first television appearance in 1962’s 87th Precinct and has since appeared in numerous shows like Mission: Impossible, Gilmore Girls, The West Wing, and Mad Men.

The second of Aniston’s two wives was Sherry Rooney. He was the father of Jennifer and Alexander Aniston, and the stepfather of John Melick.
