Do you have a few hours to spare on Saturday, October 8?
St. Louis, Missouri…The St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program (St. Louis HELP) seeks volunteers to assist at its home health equipment donation drive on Saturday, October 8. You can choose to volunteer at one of 14 different locations in greater St. Louis.
This event seeks check-in helpers and equipment unloaders. Volunteers can assist for one or more hours at the event opening at 9 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m.
St. Louis HELP collects, cleans and revitalizes used home health equipment for free loans to people suffering from accidents, illness or disability. Free means absolutely free. Please see the website http://www.stlhelp.org.
Virtually every type of home medical device — manual and electric wheelchairs; scooters; walkers, crutches, canes; hospital beds; portable commodes; elevated toilet seats; lift chairs — and more — is accepted by St. Louis HELP, which restores the equipment at its warehouse in St. Louis County. Donated items that cannot be used are recycled by St. Louis HELP.
