Enjoy Hawaiian Lunch at Overland Farmers Market on September 8

Overland, Missouri… The Overland Farmers Market on Saturday, September 8 will offer a Hawaiian lunch special featuring Hawaiian chicken served with choice of rice, plus Hawaiian bread, Hawaiian cole slaw, Hummingbird cupcake and a drink for the low price of $10.00.

The Market vendors also will offer plenty of fresh, locally produced vegetables, organic beef, bakery products, fresh eggs and arts & crafts. It will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm at 2512 Woodson Road near Erickson Plaza, about one mile north of Page Avenue.

A popular group of five local musicians known as The Flash Band will perform classic rock, pop music and rhythm & blues from 10 a.m. to noon.

“We offer fresh produce, home-made bakery goods, hot sandwiches and merchandise you can’t find anywhere else,” said Kilzer, who is president of the Overland Farmers Market Board of Directors.

“We provide live music from different musicians every Saturday — folk, rock, gospel or bluegrass,” Kilzer said. “Our Market is like a friendly neighborhood party,” he added.

“Our covered pavilion with 24 stalls and free parking makes our market very accommodating for visitors and vendors.”

The Overland Farmers Market is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization managed by volunteers and supported by sponsors including individuals, merchants and the City of Overland. Admission is free.

The market will be open every Saturday morning through late October this year. For information or to become a sponsor, call 314 769 6360 or visit http://www.overlandfarmersmarket.com/.
