The Hot Flashes All-Woman Rock Band Performs at Overland Farmers Market on Saturday September 3

Overland, Missouri… The popular, all-woman rock group known as “The Hot Flashes” will perform a free music show at The Overland Farmer’s Market on Saturday, September 3, from 10 a.m. to noon.

“The Hot Flashes’ are a treat, especially if you like great oldies music — these ladies are terrific,” said Richard A. Kilzer, president of the Overland Farmer’s Market Board of Directors.

“The Hot Flashes” will perform their unique brand of pop, rock , ballads and blues from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s at The Overland Farmers Market, in the 2500 block of Woodson Road about one mile north of Page Boulevard. Admission to The Overland Farmers Market is free.

The Overland Farmers Market is a popular destination for people seeking fresh, locally grown vegetables, fruit and produce, plus arts, crafts and consumer goods available from vendors in a festive market atmosphere. The Overland Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will continue operating this year into late October.

“We are committed to fostering local growers and farmers,” said Mr. Kilzer. “Most of our vendors are local producers of fruits, vegetables and bakery goods, in addition to vendors that offer arts and crafts.”

Now in its ninth successful year of operation, The Overland Farmers Market is a not-for-profit 501©(3) organization. Vendors are welcome to apply for an application by calling (314) 769–6360 or by visiting the website

“The Hot Flashes” website refers to the members as “Women Who Rock!” They have performed at many venues in metro St. Louis, from schools and churches to private parties, weddings, reunions and more. Several of the group’s members started performing together years ago in a popular group called “The Teen Queens,” which was considered St. Louis’ first all-girl rock band.
