Dr. PC Obakponovwe Has Passed Away

According to information gathered, Chief Dr. PC Obakponovwe, Chairman and CEO of Ufor Hospital, has joined his forefathers.

Despite the fact that the Medical Guru has been unwell for years.

Mr. Marcus Ekure, President of Urhobo Progress Youth Association, UPYA, announced the news of his death on his Facebook page.

Dr. PC Obakponovwe was a fantastic surgeon. Chief Ogute, the late Urhobo maestro, stated in one of his albums that Obakponovwe Hospital (Ufor) is the “final bus stop” for any ill person.

Dr Obakponovwe made medicine appealing to those of us who grew up in Ughelli. Because of his medical expertise, many parents would push their children to pursue medicine in order to be like Dr. Obakponovwe.

It’s no surprise that the vast majority of us who attended Government College Ughelli chose Medicine and Surgery as our Jamb subjects.

Some even claimed that his mother was the one who blessed him with her incredible abilities. There is a belief that his mother possessed incredible power, which she utilized to make him more renowned than any of his contemporaries. Many individuals still believe this to this day.

Chief Obakponovwe was a one-of-a-kind find. He was, in my opinion, the finest surgeon who ever lived in Urhobo territory. If God blesses me with another kid, I plan to call him Dr. PC Obakponovwe.
