Do NOT invest in NCP “Newton Coin Project”! Major scam!
This is a big warning for anyone who might consider or get tricked into investing in the project “NCP” or “Newton Coin Project”. DO NOT INVEST OR PUT ANY MONEY INTO THIS PROJECT. If you do, you will have fallen for a major scam that has been going on for over 2 years.
Newton Coin Project used to be a mineable coin with a supply of 184.700.000.000 coins. Of these coins, around 50.000.000.000 were stolen in a 51% attack on the NCP blockchain. The NCP developers noticed these stolen coins but did nothing to stop the attack or to roll back the blockchain to a previous state. Even when a potential fix was delivered, this was completely ignored by the devs.
To hide their past mistakes, the NCP devs have “relaunched the NCP project with new vision”. Since then they have achieved to put a new logo on the project and to swap the old NCP coins to a new NCP token on the WAVES blockchain. The swap rate of 1000:1 ensured people would end up with 1000 times less tokens and because the price could drop even further, a new loss of investment of over 75%.
The NCP devs up to this date have not disclosed their real reasons to swap to a new token. There is only 1 real reason for this action:
- The old NCP blockchain had a monthly upkeep fee. (network costs) The devs could not or did not want to pay this fee anymore. Now they have a free token.
This specific scam is being led by 3 individuals, (the NCP “devs”) but this might also be 1 person with 3 Telegram accounts. It is very likely that these individuals are from Syria. These individuals use the following fake names:
- “Jack Jomail”
- “Frank Matt“
- “David Shmaltozen”

This article is to help keep people aware of the scam that is “NCP”. Crypto in general has a bad image, we do not want NCP to even further damage this image.
As a further step we have ensured that the NCP token on the WAVES exchanges has been marked as “Suspicious” to warn new investors.
