It gives us great pleasure to present to you the members of the NexaScale team. Every person who works here is a skilled professional who really wants to see our members succeed and leave a positive mark on the world of technology. Our team consists of individuals with extensive experience in a wide range of industries.

Our team is available to assist our members that are just starting out in tech or are wanting to improve their current skill set. They’re dedicated to providing the tools and assistance necessary for the success of our members. This includes creating programs and linking members with hands-on projects and work experience.

Core Team

Adora Nwodo

Adora Nwodo is a multi-award winning Software Engineer who currently works at Microsoft where she builds Mixed Reality on the Cloud. She is the Vice President of the Nigerian chapter for VRAR Association. Her work there involves creating more awareness for Virtual and Augmented Reality Technologies.

She has courses online that teaches people about Infrastructure automation, she has also published articles on Software Engineering, Productivity & Career Growth on her blog, AdoraHack. She has a YouTube channel for AdoraHack where useful tech contents are posted. Currently, Adora is a student of LEAD in the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Adora is the Author of the popular book “Cloud Engineering for Beginners”. This book is currently helping a lot of people start their career as Cloud Engineers. She is also the author of “Beginning Azure DevOps, ” a book published by Wiley.

Bukola Bisuga

Bukola Bisuga is a software engineer, working on building Mixed Reality on the cloud at Microsoft. Prior to that, she worked as a software engineer at Interswitch Group where she built payment APIs and libraries for digital loan services.

Bukola is an advocate for women and actively promotes diversity, equity & inclusion in the tech industry through her role as a Technical Coordinator for the DevOps community at She Code Africa. She organizes technical workshops, speaks at events and mentors women from different backgrounds. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics from the University of Lagos and she’s passionate about sustainability, climate change and renewable energy

Karen Chukwu

Karen Chukwu is a qualified and practicing Tech & IP Lawyer and Managing Partner of Katwig & Dale, a women-led technology and digital driven African law firm. She is passionate about Africa’s economic growth and sustainable development and provides legal support to individuals, Startups, big corporations, investors etc. who are passionate about Africa’s economic growth and sustainable development.

Karen earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. She obtained a masters in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law from the University of East Anglia, Norwich as a recognised and awarded scholar. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the London Court of International Arbitration to mention a few.

She is passionate about African talents growing in their careers, empowering women and promoting feminine health and wellness. She is the Founder of Katwig Kare Foundation, a non-profit organization improving the physical and mental-wellbeing of women. When she isn’t working, you’d find her going on a long-distance run, exploring a new country or going wine tasting.

Adaeze Nwaokolo

Adaeze Nwaokolo has worked as a makeup artist, beauty queen, and in the media industry. Currently, she is a user interface designer, humanitarian, model, and social content creator.

She would rather sleep all day but the hum of her dreams kees her awake. She has always been drawn to the magic of words, how they are light but capable of carrying so much weight and conveying a thousand emotions.

Jadesola Akinnusoye

Jadesola Akinnusoye is an experienced Product Manager with a strong background in product, account, and people management. With technical know-how and critical thinking skills, she takes charge of the entire development process from ideation to launch across different platforms. Jadesola’s superpowers include strategy, data analysis, and a good eye for design. Her three-word self-description includes being intentional, empathetic, and creative. She began her career as an account executive at an agency, which quickly turned into strategy and account management where she created award-winning strategies for household brands. Currently, Jadesola is passionate about creating and managing functional products that make people’s lives easier. Design is at the core of her work, as she enjoys creating something from nothing for others.

Fatimah Badmus

Fatimah Badmus is a frontend engineer with a passion for building beautiful and intuitive user interfaces. Her journey in tech began when she joined AltSchool Africa, and she has been hooked ever since.

She specializes in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Vue 3, and she’s always looking for new and innovative ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the web. Whether she’s building a responsive mobile app or a complex web application, she approaches every project with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering the best possible user experience.

Volunteers

Braimoh Ikpemosi Victoria

Braimoh Ikpemosi Victoria is new to tech and is currently learning cloud engineering. She is also a beneficiary of the NexaScale cloud mentorship program.

Cynthia Osarumwense Udoh

Cynthia Osarumwense Udoh is a content writer and a tech enthusiast. She has three years of experience in writing technical content; over time, she has developed a keen eye for details, constantly aiming to develop an unmatched ability to break down complex topics into easily digestible pieces.

As a passionate advocate for gender diversity in the tech industry, she is committed to ensuring that ladies who want to learn about web2 and web3 can access all the necessary resources. Her dedication to this cause is evident in her work as a content writer and mentor for She Code Africa Benin and as the Technical Writing Club Lead at Web3Ladies. With her vivid imagination and creative flair, she also enjoys crafting stories that captivate and inspire young minds.

She’s currently learning front-end development. With her dedication to learning and her natural curiosity, she hopes to excel in this field.

Joshua Abel Alhassan

Joshua Abel Alhassan is a frontend Developer and a developer advocate who’s passionate about connecting with developers and building impactful communities. He founded a community called codescript, a community that started with the vision of helping, teaching, and mentoring tech enthusiasts in his locality and getting them involved in community activities.

He is a brilliant communicator who loves sharing knowledge and creating meaningful relationships with people in the creative tech space. When he’s not slaying bugs, you can find him hosting cohort bootcamps, meetups/hangouts and spreading the love of his skills to the community.

Chidinma Nwatu

Chidinma Nwatu is a skilled software developer with expertise in creating interactive user interfaces, creating APIs, dealing with databases, and working in a team. She is a creative, resilient, excellent multitasker, and active problem solver.

She loves working in environments that promote her growth and challenge her to do exploits. She loves the idea of learning new things and she takes on the challenge as they come.

She is also a proponent of women in technology and she’s eager to see more women enter the field. In her spare time, she works with a variety of tech groups as a way of giving back to the community and actively participating in the fight against bias. Currently, she leads the SCA UI community, the WAAW UI community at her University Campus and she volunteers at the NexaScale Community as a Data Science Moderator.

Valentine Tom

Valentine Tom is a budding product manager and experienced operations manager currently working on a soon-to-be-launched product while managing operations at an Oil & Gas holdings company. Prior to that, he worked in customer relations team in the banking sector. Valentine graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the Pontifical Urban University, Rome. He is enthusiastic about God, resolving social issues, and building products that simplifies the lives of Africans. To unwind, he enjoys playing volleyball and writing poetry. Attracted to the “easy life,” he is motivated to develop variety of products that would improve the quality of life for his fellow Nigerians and Africans. Brown Ofonime

Brown Ofonime is a senior software engineer and a Tech social activist, born and raised in Nigeria. In around a decade, she grew a diverse exposure to cutting-edge technology frameworks to create resilient products and share best practices of software methodologies and STEM Education.

In 2020, Ofonime was awarded a global Ambassador to Women tech network for her extensive achievements in the tech industry.

Mariam Badmus

Mariam Badmus is a virtual administrative assistant and customer service representative with a passion for frontend software engineering. She is a self-motivated and driven individual with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve her skills. She has always had an interest in technology. Although she haven’t yet pursued her formal education in frontend engineering.

She is excited to start learning more about this field and further develop her skills. She believes that formal education will provide her with a solid foundation in frontend engineering, allowing her to better serve her clients and take on more challenging projects.

In her free time, she enjoys reading about new technologies and trends in frontend development, practicing coding challenges, and building her projects to test her skills. She also enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

Obonganwan (Queen) Akpabio

Obonganwan (Queen) Akpabio is a data analytics and social media professional. She has three years of experience in these areas and she is determined to use problem-solving strategies to help different businesses and organizations succeed. She is also proficient in the following software tools: Excel, Data Visualization, SQL, Tableau, and PowerBI.

She received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom state. She spent a long time honing her communication skills, time management, team mentorship, and self-starting abilities. She is also dedicated to self-improvement and studying.

Maryblessing Okolie

Maryblessing is a community architect and an advocate with strong analytical and engagement skills. She is passionate about building sustainable tech communities with a focus on advocating for diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace and community at large. She is an Opensource advocate, actively contributing to the CHAOSS project through its Africa chapter, and currently leading the onboarding process at CHAOSS.

Maryblessing currently is a community associate at She Code Africa, an organisation committed to supporting and empowering women in their Tech journey. She is committed to mentoring young women and exposing them to technology through the Technovation Girls program.

Feranmi Falana

Feranmi is a graphics designer and a brand identity expert who values excellence and creativity and embraces growth. Feranmi is a team player who has previously worked with a variety of organizations.He is passionate about solving clients problems and he has worked on numerous projects. Practice is his habit. With more than five years of experience, Feranmi has honed his skills in leadership, graphic design/book publication, and public speaking. Feranmi is passionate about opening up possibilities in the lives of young people. He holds a degree in computer science.
