Any brand strategy, whether it comes from a new or long-running company, has to be mindful of its effect on brand equity. We talked about its importance in advertising in our explainer of where the industry is heading at the moment, but we felt it was worth emphasising that people’s perception of a brand is important, but that perception is guided by actions. Here’s how to make your brand values talk to people, and keep your brand equity high.
Brand equity is the portion of a company’s value attributable to its brand(s), according to Brand Marketing Blog. In other words…
We’ve explained how ad fraud is still far more effective than it should be, thanks to a combination of continuously adaptable fraudsters, inattentive brands, and heavy, bloated ads that contribute to the issue by looking, well, fraudulent, even if they’re not.
We thought you’d like to see for yourself what the very worst of ad fraud looks like — because you need to know your enemy to be able to fight it.
In 2017, founders of startups producing Android mobile apps that had been identified as having a particularly high user base received emails from representatives of a company called…
Carousel ads are a great way of telling your brand’s story or showcasing your products, because you have multiple images to play with in an area where you would typically have just the one.
In this post, I will shine the spotlight on the carousel ad format and share everything you need to decide whether they’re right for your campaign. I’ll also throw in a few examples and best practices to help you create the perfect carousel ad.
You’ve almost certainly come across a carousel ad somewhere in your travels around social media and the web. The exact specifications vary…
Two decades. That’s how long the AdWords and DoubleClick brands were around before Google gave them the chop in summer 2018. Well, 18 years for AdWords and 22 years in the case of DoubleClick. These brands made up a huge part of Google’s product lineup and, well, the digital advertising landscape as a whole.
But, that landscape has changed a lot over the last twenty years, leading Google to reorganize their ad products and bring them up to speed with the requirements of today.
So, where are we now? Here’s a quick summary of what’s become of DFP, AdWords and…
Gen-Z consumers are changing the landscape of marketing, and brands that don’t adapt will get left behind. Here’s how you can change your campaign accordingly — and an example of a surprising, fun, advertising campaign from a global giant.
I don’t mean what your message is, or what position you want to take in the market — I mean what are you adding to people’s lives, and how do you talk to your potential customers?
Which is why, when we first set out to build interactive rich media ads, motion-based interaction — using the gyro to allow the audience to interact with the creative — seemed like the obvious choice.
And, well, it was.

As I am sure you are aware, thanks to GDPR and other privacy initiatives, more focus has been drawn to this…
Brands often find that, in spite of spending a lot of time on crafting a marketing strategy that seems bulletproof in a brainstorming meeting in the boardroom, something goes wrong when it gets out to the public.
Usually, the problem is a lack of engagement in your beautifully rendered ad campaign.
Why does this happen? What are you doing wrong? How do you get your ad campaign moving with the times?
Actually, it’s more about recognising what you do RIGHT, and doubling down on that.
If you treat marketing like a constant challenge to grab the attention of sleepy commuters…
Digital advertising is more exciting than ever, thanks to the wide variety of options, platforms, and delivery methods available to brands wanting to publicise themselves to consumers.
However, the landscape is also fraught with danger for brands who do not get a clear understanding of new trends, many of which are generated on and by social media. There’s also Generation Z, or Gen Z, to think about — those born in or after 1995 now have huge purchasing power, and this guide will explain how that is changing the outlook for advertising in 2019.
