Step-by-Step Guide for Eid Al Adha Prayer at Home
- Follow your family’s adult male, playing the part of Imam, if praying with family. Otherwise, become your own imam.
- After hearing the first takbeer out of seven takbeers of the first rak’ah, softly say, ‘Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, raising your hands.
- Bow in ruckus pose after hearing ‘Allahu Akbar’ from the Imam. Stand tall and recite ‘Rabbana lakal Hamd’ when you hear ‘Sami Allahu liman Hamidah’ from the Imam.
- Repeat the same’subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar’ in the five takbeers of second rak’ah.
- Conclude the prayer following the imam.
