Exchange Listings — Results

The exchange preference poll vote has come to an end. We’ve compiled the results and made a decision going forward.

We had 460 submit their preferences which is a huge turn out in such little time and notice. The results are below.

The preference between the two was very close — although the minor exchange listings won.

Bittrex is the clear winner here for major exchange listing. Once again, we’re unable to state which major exchange we have been in talks with, but we will put Bittrex on our priority list.

For minor exchanges, Cryptopia is the clear winner with YoBit shortly behind.

So here’s what we’ve decided to do. We’ll be applying for listing on both Cryptopia and YoBit as soon as possible and paying in BTC. We will then apply for both LiveCoin and NovaExchange in the form of community voting so that the users can help us be listed there by demand. Once listed on those four, we’ll then push for CoinExchange.io which has been growing in popularity lately (9.7% of the votes).

We will be hosting our buy-back program on both Cryptopia and YoBit once we’re listed on both. This should create a huge spike in SCL volume over this period of time. Since the buy-back will be on two exchanges at such as large amount, it may take us almost 72 hours to complete the entire buy-back. We will launch the program almost instantly after being listed, although purchasing back around 835,000 SCL can take some time.

Our goal now is to try and be listed on 5 different minor exchanges in the coming weeks. Deep order books and large volume should then get the attention of the major exchange that we’re talking to.

We will keep you all updated via our blog here on Medium with progress on exchange listing. We hope to be listed on both Cryptopia and YoBit within a maximum of 10 days — if they co-operate that is. Once again though, the buy-back will start once we’re listed on both Cryptopia and YoBit.

If we hear positive news back from the major exchange before listing on the minor exchanges, we will postpone the minor exchange listings if not already in progress.
