In 2003, Valve opened its virtual doors to the world of digital downloads with its online platform, Steam. Since then, digital games have taken over as the dominate form of delivery. And why shouldn’t it? It’s extremely convenient and it it allows people to play most games within a few minutes.

Online platforms like Origin, Gog Galaxy, and Itch, have also entered the digital download space.

However, one of the main drawbacks of the buying the digital version of a game vs. a physical copy, is that you couldn’t resell it.
