The only reason 

Recently I got a job offer from a global company that I love. I ended up not being able to move forward with it because I’m not an American. I was told by the company HR department that it was the only reason.

As much as I believe them and try not to pity myself too much, I think we all know some of us are not born equal. I don’t see any wrongs in being a foreigner. I just wish we had a level playing field, and Equal Employment Opportunity had an actual meaning to it.
