Why do it?
What is the do list? Why read it? Where does it come from?
All good questions.
The do list is a collection of short pieces of advice on getting people to make things happen.
Whether you’re trying to write a book, or change their lifestyle, or train for a race, create something, make something or change something there’s one common factor: them.
And human nature has a lot of hard wired psychology that can get in the way of making a change.
Inertia is comfortable. Routines are seductive.
But if you want to do something you’re not doing already then you have to change some aspect of your day, week or year. And change is hard.
So, do list is a collection of short pieces of advice on getting people to make things happen.
It’s things you can readily find elsewhere: bits of psychology, behavioural economics, theories behind gamification and quotes. It’s simply gathered in one place.
You don’t need to read it in order. You can duck in and out. And as soon as you’ve read something that’s got you motivated you should get on with it.
Do it now.
