Heather, you seem to be so caught up in your tribal politial agenda that you completely missed the point that this article is railing against tribal political agendas.

Helping the poor survive was not even close to the point. It was merely one example of how extreme activisim cultivates a shrill, smug and dysfuntional solipsism that ultimately attacks the free speech necessary for progress.

Your invalidation of opinions different from yours as being ugly, insulting and ignorant demonstrate the author’s point exactly.
