How Professional Wrestling Explains American Politics (Especially Donald Trump)
Oliver Willis

I think the analogy is so clear you could have just said politics = wwe and it would have been no less persuasive. What is missing however is the more important discussion of what this means.

Wrestling is entertainment. When it dropped the pretense and embraced its fakery it was still entertainment. No big deal.

But politics, and by extension governing, has a slightly greater material impact of people’s lives.

So how far does this analogy really go? And what are its implication for our lives? What we should do about it?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
