This week was very challenging and interesting as well for all of us, as we were working on developing our chatbots. Ideally, I had submitted the Version 4 of my chatbot after making required corrections to the Version 3 flaws. But, in 2 days time, that was also rejected. Both the times though in different scenarios, the issue was same — mic leaves open for the user without prompt. Once Version 4 was also rejected, as Arya Murali addressed us in class, I had made the necessary changes and had re-submitted Version 5 two days back. Now, I am eagerly awaiting the response from Google regarding the status.

Successfully Rejected ……!!!!

“Failures are stepping stones to success!”

Yes ! Rejections are real motivation to fight back. Thanks to SKG for teaching us this lesson.

Smart Classes — Webinars

How good is to have a class without the faculty physically present in the class? Many might expect or talk about the freedom part of it. Well ! I wonder why our education system hasn’t fully transformed into smart classes yet. Now a days it is easily possible to have video conferences and host webinars with the help of internet. It doesn’t matter about the geographical locations of the host and the receivers. Last week we had a Video Conference session with Shameel Abdulla, founder of Clootrack were he had shared his experiences with us and also we were given opportunity to interact with him as well.

Similarly, this week we had our classes hosted via webinars, which was really effective. The webinars were hosted via a website called Appear.in . The website facilitates a user to host a video session were he can invite other users and even guests for a video conference by simply sharing the link. The platform also allows the user to share the screen with others on the conference. What makes it different from Skype? In skype you need to have the other users Skype ID and so. Here, things are pretty simple, ou just need to generate the link and share with others.

Videos

I am currently thinking of doing the below mentioned videos as part of the curriculum for the second half of the semester:

  • IAN Funded Company — Bangalore-based, fintech start-up Bluebear Technology.
  • Assistant Bot Creator.
  • Accelerator/Incubator.

I am still in my research for finding ideal resources for these topics. Apart from this, I am looking forward to share an experience sharing and tutorial videos on developing a bot.

With that, I am looking forward to successfully publish my Chatbot and meet the deadlines for the videos. I also would look to see this happen at the earliest.
