I’m fed up with mean people, so I’m building an app for that.
I think everyone can agree that we live in an increasingly frantic and chaotic world.
There are only so many times you can be outraged and think to yourself ‘You can’t say that!’, ‘I can’t believe this happened for real’ before we realise our post-truth, alternative facts world is, well, a little mean.
Nastiness reign supreme while frankly unacceptable behaviour and conduct are now being seen as a sure-fire way to get ahead.
No one knows for sure exactly how we got ourselves into the position or how to solve this issue, but I bet most of us would agree we could all do with a little more kindness in our lives.
Sick and tired of seeing people dominate through aggression and bullying tactics, I had decided to work on an app which allows people to do the exact opposite — a place where people can easily carry out and receive random acts of kindness and support local businesses/ causes they are passionate about.
Barely two months in, I’m pleased to say my intense dislike of mean people had pushed the development of the app rather quickly, with just a little over 50% of the app now built.
If you are interested, please visit my holding page and sign up so I can keep you up to date with the progress of the app as well as pick your brains so that I can make the app better.
I’m also currently looking to speak with local independent coffee stores and charities around London, so if you know anyone that fits the bill, please give me a shout!
Thanks and speak soon!
