Writers would love to “make their words count.” Honestly, most of us dream of the day when we’d get paid enough to do this. Companies don’t value the written word. They see it as something they can buy like a commodity.

They’re not interested in investing in it and working with a writer to hone their voices. They’d rather stack words on a weighing scale and then pay with magic beans on the other side.
