I think you’re right, Hillary’s “deplorables” comment will motivate some Trump supporters.

The gamble she’s taking is that most of these supporters are motivated already, but they’re not enough on their own, and that she might be able to create a wedge between them and the additional voters Trump has to win over.

It’s a gamble. And we won’t really know if it works until November.
