I’ve lived in Coal Harbour close to 3 years and It’s pretty typical for most women living here to assume the man will pay for mostly everything — including “upkeep.”

Second, I can’t even count the number of times I’ve heard a woman gripe about a man and him being cheap about paying for dinner etc so, no, in this “modern society,” the bill is definitely not split between two people.

Once again, living downtown, assuming you’re spending $50 per person is incredibly cheap. You also make the assumption that all women know how to cook which I can assure you is false. And as much as I love Big Macs, I’m not taking her to McDonald's.

Note, I said this was written from the perspective of an investment banker; nonetheless, I stand firmly by my numbers.
