Funny to hear you mention Lewis Ayres. I had him as a lecturer at Durham University (UK) this past couple of years. A great guy, who once told me that if he hadn’t been a theologian he would have liked to have been a barrister or an officer in the army — suggestive of a real desire for order in the world!
