EXCLUSIVE: NYC pushing program to aid people with limited English land healthcare jobs

“The city is launching a program to help people with limited English enter the health care field.
The Bilingual Medical Assistant Training program is tailored to people who worked in the field in their home country but aren’t licensed here, or those who are looking for a career change, officials said.
The program will help immigrants land high-paying jobs as well as hospitals clamoring for bilingual help in the increasingly diverse city, said city Small Business Services Commissioner Gregg Bishop.”
