Google isn’t hindering competition, it’s helping itself become a better, more useful business. By improving it’s own services it means that the other competition has to be able to prove a better service than Google. At the end of the day, Google is making the end user journey better. That’s what I think technology is for. It shouldn’t be down to “Let’s make Google less helpful so X company can compete”. Technology is there to help us, the EU is simply slowing down the tech boom by preventing the obvious market leaders from growing anymore.
