Kodak didn’t squander anything — it’s not like someone else sells people digital film. The market for film has *ceased to exist*.

Even if Kodak had started making digital cameras or lenses — not only is the competition there huge, the revenue is 10% not 10x. So this is the opposite to your point.

What they would need to have done is a complete re-invention of the company — seems like a huge stretch, that very rarely happens. It might just have been their natural time to die — all companies come to an end sometime.
