“FML” is the eleventh track on The Life of Pablo — it features vocals by The Weeknd, and additional vocals by Caroline Shaw

FML by Kanye West is the manifested frustration between an artist’s vision and his own humanity. In this struggle, West acknowledges that he wants to put himself before others, both unknown and known [FML = For My Lady], but also expresses how he feels that he is at the short end of the stick. FML represents his own humanity beckoning for what is just. The juxtaposition of being, vision, and sacrifice are what drive the poetics, induced with struggle and clarity of, “the mission.” West does not only realize his position; he accepts new responsibilities and understands them — up to what he humanly can.
