Excellent article that really hits the nail on the head. Just this morning I saw people posting issues on a library demanding something is changed as it’s inconvenient for them.
I think what people are really missing is that at its core, OSS is community driven. If something is broken, fix it and raise a PR. If you don’t like the direction a library has gone in, fork it and go your own way. The community is lacking an understanding of what open source is all about, instead treating it like it’s a paid service.
