Air Bud: All Female Cast Reboot
Girl Dogs Can Play Professional Human Sports Too

The year 1997 doesn’t sound like that long ago, does it? When you see a 1997 Plymouth Voyager, it’s hard to believe that it’s going on 20-years-old. A lot has changed in 20 years in the motor vehicle industry, but a lot has also changed in Hollywood, California (where they make movies.)
In an era where anyone can be anything they put their minds to, seeing someone that looks like you look doing extraordinary things in the media is important. The year is 2016, the year of the all-female cast reboot. We have as a collective decided that the greatest way to empower our young females is to take roles which were once limited only to men and expand them to women. The movement is a heated topic for the many that hold their childhood memories close and their history of rejection from adolescent women closer. Are we doing enough, though? I don’t think that we are.
It’s easy enough to imagine women smart and courageous enough to build localized nuclear tools to capture ghosts. It’s not a stretch to believe that a group of slick and sly ladies could put criminal minds together to pull off a giant casino heist. The big opportunity to inspire that Hollywood, California is missing here is an untapped Air Bud reboot. Can’t girl dogs slam dunk basketballs too?
Women are dominating sports in this day-and-age. Ronda Rousey changed the face of mixed martial arts forever. The U.S. women’s soccer team has rejuvenated (or just juvenated?) an American interest in Europe’s favorite past-time. Lady dogs are ready to step paw on the B-BALL court.
You don’t want your childhood ruined? The original Air Bud is dead. He probably died not too long after the movie. He actually probably died during the movie. There were like 4 dogs involved in that production, I’m assuming. Your childhood is already ruined. Now can we work on the childhood of inspired lady dogs to come? They need to see that they are capable of more than laying on their sides and feeding little doggies milk.
