Sack City… Or Slack City?
After the Rams thirteenth pick in 2014 NFL draft many experts coined their front four with the nickname sack city. Adding Arron Donald, an interior lineman with pass rushing skills of a defensive end to the already dominant Robert Quinn and Chris Long as well as the big run stuffer Michael Brockers anchoring the middle. This has not translated over into the 2014 NFL season though, the Rams are dead last in sacks and it doesn't appear to be getting any better. The loss of Chris Long definitely hurt, but the rotation of Eugene Sims, William Hayes, and Ethan Westbrooks is a more than capable group of guys to hold down that defensive end spot. Last game against the eagles I did see much better pressure as Foles threw up some very questionable balls that should have been intercepted, but nothing translated to sacks. For this teams strongest part of the defense to not be able to get after the quaterback like they did a year ago is starting to scare me a bit.
