The Austin Davis Experiment

From fourth string quarterback to starter is no easy task and not many people are going to have confidence in you, but I’m hoping of the Austin Davis bandwagon because I beilieve he is that good. He doesnt have a laser arm or breakaway speed, but he has mental toughness and thats something you can’t coach. Down 34–7 against the Eagles most teams would have it quits and most quatersbacks would have panicked in the pocket after taking some of the hits he took in the first half. The opposite occured they came out firing and continuing to improve. AD corrected mistakes he was making early in the game by stepping in the pocket and delivering consistent strikes to the receivers. In an after the game interview AD stated “I had no doubt we were goingto drive down that field and win the game 35–34." Thats a confidence and swagger a starting quarterback has to have in this league and his passion to win and play the game shows. He makes me excited to watch the Rams every week, I personally think he gives that offense that little push that Sam Bradford could never quite do.
