Donald Trump to name retired General and Democrat as Running Mate
The day has come, or anyway according to the serial flip flopper Donald Trump, will announce his Vice Presidential nominee tomorrow. The list is really down to three choices Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich and the actual likely choice retired military General Michael Flynn. Flynn has been critical of President Obama, as has the Republican presumptive nominee. This appears to be the only qualification that Donald Trump cares about or rather maybe the qualification is who hates President Obama more? General Flynn is a registered Democrat, and has been both critical of President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton. This would ensure that Donald Trump sticks to his mantra of selecting someone who is outside of the political system, to be his number two. It would further drive the point home that Trump is a political novice, or rather a man who wants to be a successful politician, who will go down in history as being a failed presidential candidate who hijacked a major political party and in the process duped the Republican Party along with their voters. Not to mention that General Flynn is more qualified to be president than the Republican frontrunner. This as numerous Republican Delegates want to be able to vote for whom they want at their convention, and are introducing such proposals in their states and at the national level. The latest attempt would allow for them to select the Vice Presidential nominee outright. Flynn has no political experience, however he does have national security experience, which is something that Hillary Clinton, also has so if somehow the Republican Delegates were able to pick the nominee outright maybe they choose Flynn to be at the top of the ticket. So what the nation would see is a Democrat versus another Democrat. This would also be a positive choice for Trump given Hillary Clinton’s negative polling numbers; it could possibly swing some moderate Democrats to vote for Donald Trump. So perhaps a Trump, Flynn ticket makes sense for the simple reason that Clinton’s approval rating among registered voters is horrible.
