That’s interesting — I haven’t yet encountered anyone — even at AWS — that makes such strong statements about FaaS. So, honestly I like the strong statement, even if I am not sure I agree. To me Lambda != microservices, because the forced correspondence btw 1 endpoint and 1 function call (or a sequence of function calls) goes much farther. That said, I don’t really know what the capability of Lambda is to nest function calls, and whether Lambda is smart enough to inline nested calls in some way and avoid a network trip — if it were that might change things. Will research. In any case would love to debate further.
