Okay, so the topic is “talking about racism”…and…what have you got to say in this discussion? You didn’t mention any of the details or themes that should be addressed. Are you suggesting that it’s “racist” to be visibly agitated when walking down a city street in the evening and you see a couple of the fellas coming your way? Is this an “unconscious bias”? Or is it an appropriate palpable apprehension — shared not only by white folks, but Asians, Hispanics, Native Americans, and most of all fellow blacks? Is the necessary “discussion of racism” a questioning of why the levels of black violent crime are astronomically disproportionate? Tell us, Quinn, we NEED to have this discussion. Without it we’re just frolicking in our privileged fragility with no thought for the morn.
