On December 21st, every year a magnificent event takes place within our Universal alignment Its called the winter solstice, some people simply see it as the end of fall, and the rise of heating bills or expenses. Being the shortest day the longest night with hours of darkness. it’s the Mid point of our year not the beginning. in Western Gregorian calender’s, it marks the end of the year, (12 months -21st day). Some pagan cultures refer to winter solstice as “Yule” it last from the 22th of December 2020 - January 2, 2021”. “Yule. … It’s thought that Yule was centered around the idea of the rebirth of the sun, since it was set around the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year and the beginning of growing daylight hours. Now it is celebrated as a secular, contemporary pagan holiday.”

“The Yule log was a whole tree meant to be burned for 12 days in the hearth. The Celts believed the sun stood still during the winter solstice. They thought by keeping the Yule log burning for these 12 days encouraged the sun to move, making the days longer.’

Winter is a time for regeneration, cultivation, reflection, creation so newness is born (re birthed) in the spring).animals hibernate, plants die off only to be be reawakened in the defrost of the Spring Equinox.Ancient Civilizations, Indigenous cultures tribes, and religions pay homage by partaking in many different sacred divine rituals, of healing, cleansing, restorations and transformation.

The winter solstice represents the rebirth of the Sun God (Ra), The day the sister Moon Goddess (Rayet) gave birth to him! so its believed to magnify the energy of the sun for regeneration, transformation, and self reflection. Being the mid-point of our universal year, it marks the elements Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. With a intentional energy such as this, now is the time to set new intentions, buy a new journal, create vision boards, and an action plan to make sure your visions come to life.

Because of the rebirth energetic fields, this is the prime time for one to open their third eye, reconnect with the ancestors, rediscover their own personal purposes. It’s not a time to simply do nothing! Self-Reflection is key and elevation is the mission beloveds.

Things you can do to connect on the Winter Solstice.

For one, you can get outside, and meditate and chill, although its a lil chilly outside, grab your fav herbal tea , coffee or hot chocolate, a blanket and meditate in the sun, go for a walk in nature, allow the Sun God to favor you and permeate through your aura. Write in your journal, or say mantras, prayers, chants to empower your own self, dance, sing and rejoice that you’ve made it to another solstice, and your intention are set. Thank your Ancestors restock your alter.

Light your candles to relax in the darkest night use them as your source of light on this evening, light your sage, palo santo, set the mood, just lay there if you can in the dark before bed and visualize your life in the future and fall asleep with the intent on living that life!
